Educational reference — how Synqd's compatibility works. Build your Music DNA.
Compatibility
Compatibility on Synqd is resonance, not a percentage. It's the shape of two listening patterns overlapping — not a score of how similar you are.
How it works
Synqd maps every listener across eight dimensions. The more dimensions that overlap, the deeper the resonance.

Connection modes
Resonance between two people can take many shapes. Each has its own texture, its own pace.
Parallel frequencies. Shared listening sessions, playlist exchanges, the unspoken bond of hearing the same album at 2am. No pressure, just presence.
Difference creates attraction. Opposite nostalgia and discovery, shared emotional depth, the tension between similarity and contrast.
Two frequencies exploring each other's territory. New sounds on one side, hidden depths on the other. Every conversation is a genre shift.
What the number means
When the authenticated app shows a real match score, that number is resonance, not a “compatibility grade.”
A high number means your listening patterns and Music DNA overlap meaningfully across multiple dimensions. A low number means they don't. The number is a depth signal, not a quality judgment about either person.
Real match scores only appear inside the app, after both people have built their Music DNA. The diagram on this page is illustrative, not a real result.
